Who builds this free Enneagram test, why we made it, and how we approach accuracy and privacy.

We built this site because we wanted a free Enneagram test that was honest, thorough and respectful of your time and privacy. Many tests ask for your email before showing results, hide the most useful information behind a paywall, or give a confident answer even when the result is a close call. We wanted to do the opposite: give you your core type, wing, instinct and tritype for free, explain how we got there, and tell you when the result is uncertain.
Who we are
TypeClue editorial team. No independent clinical reviewer is claimed.
Our principles
- Free first. The test and full result are free, with no email required.
- Transparent. Our scoring method is published on our methodology page.
- Honest about uncertainty. We show confidence levels and say "leaning" when results are close.
- Original content. Our questions and descriptions are written by us. Public figures listed on our pages are labelled "often typed as" because nobody can know another person's type for sure.
- Privacy-respecting. We don't store IP addresses, and you can delete your result anytime.
- Not a diagnosis. The Enneagram is a tool for self-reflection, not a clinical instrument.
Independence
We are not affiliated with The Enneagram Institute, The Narrative Enneagram, Integrative Enneagram Solutions or any other Enneagram organisation, and we do not use their trademarked tests.
